HOW A NODE SITE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST / SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Serve as the Node Site Operations Specialist in accordance with directives for node management. Provide local site assistance and troubleshooting for any hardware failures or circuit issues. Ensure accountability for all node site equipment. Oversee the installation and implementation of node hardware, software, and circuits. Monitor and report on system, trunk, and circuit status, including outages and degraded conditions. Maintain circuit history files as per established guidelines for each circuit. Administer desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks, managing account security and operating system installations. Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems. Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes. Provide support for day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices. Offer Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. Facilitate communication of status updates to management and internal stakeholders. Assist in the dispatch system and hardware problem resolution. Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems. Install and load operating system and application software. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues across various systems. Troubleshoot and maintain network components, implementing enhancements for reliability and performance. Integrate new technologies into existing systems, ensuring smooth transitions.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or Master's Degree with 10 years of experience. Required Skillset: Ability to mitigate risks, control costs, and manage large-scale projects effectively. Review and approve system engineering documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Establish formal procedures for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams. Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI Required Certification(s): DoD .01-M IAT Level II/ Computing Environment (CE) Certification required prior to support on contract. IAT II / Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent. Required Computing Environment Certification: MCSA Windows Server, Solaris 10, Linux+, VCP5, Azure Administrator Fundamentals, etc. Additional: Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions.
