General Summary:

Are you a proactive leader with a strong background in facility management? We are looking for a Facilities Operations Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our Health Center. In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance and upkeep of the physical plant. Your responsibilities will include managing preventive maintenance, seasonal repairs, and overseeing building equipment and plumbing systems. You will collaborate closely with the Marketing Department and external vendors to ensure the timely refurbishment of apartments. Together with the Director of Plant Operations, you will lead the plant operations team, fostering a safe and efficient environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance Tasks: Execute general maintenance activities, including repairs to walls and floors, light plumbing, minor electrical work, and appliance servicing.
  • Project Management: Supervise renovation projects to guarantee quality standards and timely completion.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Implement routine preventive maintenance procedures to enhance the safety and longevity of facilities.
  • Building Repairs: Address minor repairs to buildings and equipment as necessary.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide Plant Operations Technicians and Security Officers, coordinating with the Security Supervisor as needed.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain call light systems and ensure adherence to all life safety regulations for the health center.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and supplies are maintained in optimal condition.
  • Assist the Director of Plant Operations with HVAC systems, water systems, refrigeration, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems, and emergency generators, stepping in during their absence if qualified.
  • Participate in training and educational sessions as assigned.
  • Perform additional specific tasks and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; technical training and/or relevant experience preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform basic arithmetic.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience and five years of maintenance experience.
  • HVAC certification is preferred.
  • Experience with call light systems is preferred.
  • Current valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • AZ Driver's License with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for the past 36 months.
