Regional Sales Executive

The Regional Sales Executive for Interventional Urology is tasked with meeting sales targets within the designated area through effective selling strategies. This role involves establishing strong business relationships with key stakeholders, conducting clinical consultations, and driving both market share and sales growth. The focus will be on Urology clients by promoting Coloplast's surgical devices, both implantable and single-use.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development
- Engage with all targeted accounts and formulate a strategic plan to achieve sales goals.
- Serve as a model for developing and executing business strategies to optimize territory and corporate objectives, including analyzing sales and marketing data to identify opportunities.
- Understand the client's environment, identifying key decision-makers and their concerns, challenges, and opportunities for Coloplast.
- Advance the sales process in a timely manner with all targeted accounts, aiming to meet or exceed business and marketing targets for each product line.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of Financial Business Models and perform cost/benefit analyses.
- Adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards in business conduct, complying with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Exhibit strong consultative selling skills to uncover customer strategies and present compelling value propositions.
- Plan daily activities and account coverage to ensure effective engagement with key accounts.
- Utilize all available resources to enhance sales growth, including marketing tools, sales reports, and educational materials.
- Stay informed about competitive activities and sales performance in each targeted account.
- Adopt a strategic approach to influence and develop relationships that enhance customer engagement.
- Identify opportunities within the existing customer base to retain and expand business.
- Build and sustain long-term relationships that promote increased product usage within target accounts.
- Foster productive cross-functional relationships to share insights and leverage organizational synergies.
- Possess a strong understanding of clinical and technical product knowledge.
- Utilize clinical insights to educate peers on various product categories.
- Maintain awareness of competitive products and market trends.
- Participate actively in industry-related training and events for professional development.
- Engage regularly with healthcare professionals, including surgeons, nurses, and administrative staff.
- Be present during procedures as required to assist with product-related inquiries, adhering to operating room protocols.
- Comply with all healthcare facility standards and regulations.
- Organize and manage information using CRM tools as directed.
- Maintain accurate records and handle administrative tasks, including sales reporting and expense management.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with a minimum of 3 years in medical technology sales, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of successful medical sales experience, particularly in selling to physicians.
- Experience in Urology and implantable device sales is advantageous.
- Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and follow-through.
- Valid driver's license required for travel.
- Ability to work independently with a results-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
