Senior Kitchen Operations Manager

Overview:

JF Restaurants, led by the esteemed Chef John Fraser, is seeking a dedicated Senior Kitchen Operations Manager to enhance our culinary team.

Position Summary:

The Senior Kitchen Operations Manager will be instrumental in overseeing the daily culinary operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. This role involves managing kitchen staff, coordinating food preparation, and maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Quality Management: Ensure the quality and presentation of all food items meet our high standards.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and mentor kitchen personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee the procurement of ingredients, including produce, meats, and dry goods, while managing inventory levels effectively.
  • Cost Management: Monitor food and labor costs, implementing strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Menu Innovation: Collaborate on menu development, ensuring creativity and adherence to seasonal availability.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for new and existing staff, promoting best practices in food preparation and safety.
  • Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations, including HACCP standards.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in culinary arts and kitchen management. A valid NYC Food Protection License is required.

Compensation:
