Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Chef/CDC to lead our flagship New York City location in Soho, Manhattan. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a talented and diverse culinary team, preparing and executing the menu with utmost quality, precision, and consistency.
  • Develop and refine recipes, ensuring that every dish meets Crazy Pizza's high standards for flavor and presentation.
  • Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and staff scheduling, ensuring efficient and smooth service during peak hours.
  • Collaborate with management on menu development, seasonal specials, and new culinary innovations.
  • Ensure all stations are properly staffed, stocked, and organized for service, always maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Train and mentor the kitchen staff, fostering a positive, high-performance team culture.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including DOH guidelines, and maintain sanitation standards across all kitchen operations.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role, preferably in a high-volume environment.
  • Deep knowledge and passion for Italian cuisine, with proficiency in pizza, Italian cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-intensity kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude, with a commitment to excellence in food quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Broad and flexible availability to work, including weekends and evenings.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to handle and carry trays, small wares, and equipment up to 35 lbs, as well as the ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the kitchen for extended periods of time.
