ROLE SUMMARY: The Program Manager for the LGBTQ Aging and Ability Support Network (LAASN) will adopt a harm-reduction and trauma-informed approach to oversee program coordination and management. This role involves ensuring compliance with contracts and budgets, monitoring and reporting on deliverables, providing ongoing supervision and support to direct service staff, maintaining partnerships with community organizations, and collaborating with departmental staff to innovate and implement programs that address the evolving needs of LGBTQ+ elders and adults with disabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and maintain accurate program data in both internal and external databases to facilitate program analysis, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Build strong relationships and provide continuous support to Care Navigators through regular supervision meetings.
  • Foster close collaborations with partner organizations and key referral agencies.
  • Conduct training sessions for other community organizations as needed.
  • Represent Shanti at community gatherings as required.
  • Work with LAASN staff to assess and address the ongoing needs of clients and their volunteers.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping in line with agency standards.
  • Manage incoming service referrals and maintain a waitlist when necessary.
  • Assign new clients to Care Navigators, ensuring fair and manageable caseloads.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Engage in case presentations, consultations, and supervision.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of social programming and wellness services for clients.
  • Participate in agency events and fundraising initiatives as a representative of the LAASN program team.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: We are looking for candidates with a strong background in the following areas:

  • Bachelor's degree in health services or a related field, with a minimum of three years of experience providing services to the targeted communities. Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in navigating the systems of care in the local area.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic client management systems.
  • Ability to foster team cohesion and support colleagues in dynamic environments.
  • Collaborative and transparent in working with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide trauma-informed care and practice harm reduction.
  • Commitment to maintaining an anti-racist workplace.
  • Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 or willing to undergo weekly testing.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Shanti offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $72,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes fully covered medical options, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, disability benefits, and an Employee Assistance Program. A 403B savings plan is also available.

Shanti promotes flexible scheduling and a culture of self-care for all employees. In the first year, employees earn 90 hours of sick time and 112.5 hours of vacation annually, with accrual beginning on the first day of employment. Employees also receive personal days and paid holidays.
