San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator to join our team at Frank Residences, our Assisted Living community. As a Life Enrichment Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and facilitating a comprehensive therapeutic activities program designed to meet the needs of residents at all stages of memory loss/cognitive impairment.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Create and implement a wide range of therapeutic activities and programs to optimize resident quality of life and promote their best ability to function.
- Facilitation and Leadership: Facilitate programs that encourage social interaction, reduce isolation/boredom, and reduce the frequency and severity of challenging behaviors associated with dementia.
- Environment and Culture: Create a positive, caring, and stimulating environment that embraces and respects all residents' unique and diverse personalities and cultural backgrounds.
- Documentation and Communication: Document records and notes, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as recreation therapy, psychology, healthcare, or geriatrics. Master's degree preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent group leadership skills, organizational and communication skills, required. Creative, flexible, energetic, self-motivated, innovative thinker, ability to work alone and within an interdisciplinary team.
- Cultural Competence: Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, religions, etc., required. Sensitive to varying levels of physical and emotional health.
