Partnering with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and various organizations, we aim to uplift early childhood educators and enhance job quality.

PROGRAM INSIGHT

The Child Care Providers United Training Fund is a collaborative initiative aimed at empowering family child care providers in California, predominantly women of color and immigrants. These providers play a vital role in the community by offering subsidized care services, ensuring equitable access to quality education for all children, regardless of their family's income.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Tuition Assistance Coordinator for the CCPU California Training & Professional Development Program. This role is essential for managing scholarship distribution for our Early Child Care training initiatives. The coordinator will provide direct support to members, guiding them through the application process and overseeing the review and approval of submissions. Collaboration with the Technical Supports Benefits Manager and reporting to the Tuition Assistance Manager will be key components of this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Address inquiries from providers and facilitate admissions processes.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service through various communication channels.
  • Oversee the application process, including submission, review, and approval.
  • Offer educational guidance to maximize the benefits of the program.
  • Organize promotional events to raise awareness of the scholarship program.
  • Collect and manage program evaluation data in line with guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as necessary.
  • Generate reports to assess program effectiveness and identify challenges.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Strong commitment to the values of ESF and CCPU, fostering a worker-centered culture.
  • Excellent judgment and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to build and sustain productive working relationships.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of two years of experience in coordinating complex programs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptability to evolving challenges in a startup-like environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
