Lead a High-Quality Kitchen Team

Zak the Baker, a renowned artisan bakery and cafe in Wynwood, Miami, is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations.

The ideal candidate will have a culinary degree and at least 5 years of experience working in high-end kitchens. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain efficient standard operating procedures.
  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine with training, mentoring, and menu development.
  • Collaborate on inventory management, purchasing, and cost control.
  • Schedule staff and manage labor costs.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recruit new team members.
Requirements:
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in a professional kitchen.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Professional attitude and exemplary habits.

Working hours are from 7am to 5pm, Sunday through Friday, with Saturdays off. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and references for consideration.
