Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and revenue generation in a specified region or major geographical area for HOLT CAT. This position requires a strong understanding of the construction equipment and rental industry, as well as excellent customer service and relationship building skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, develop, and evaluate sales team members to ensure delivery of exceptional customer service and sales performance.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals and objectives.
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
  • Review market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
  • Advise dealers and clients on sales and marketing techniques.
  • Assign sales territories to sales representatives.
  • Analyze sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales.
  • Represent HOLT CAT at trade association meetings to promote products and services.
  • Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
  • Meet with key clients to maintain relationships and negotiate and close deals.
  • Coordinate liaison between sales department and other sales-related units.
  • Analyze and control expenditures of the region to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
  • Recommend or approve budget, expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work.
  • Work safely at all times and adhere to all applicable safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • One year of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience required; three or more years of experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of construction equipment and rental industry.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to coach and mentor less senior sales staff.
  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization and customer operations.
Work Environment:

Working conditions are primarily indoors in a professional office environment. Occasionally works outdoors with possible exposure to temperature variations, damp/wet surfaces, hazardous materials, flammable liquids, high noise areas, dust, and unfavorable fumes and vapors.
