Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Assistant Chief Pilot to work closely with our Chief Pilot to supervise, train, and lead our pilots, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote a Safety-First Culture
    • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Ensure Compliance with Federal Regulations
    • Stay up-to-date with changes in federal regulations and ensure our pilots are trained and compliant.
    • Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure our operations meet regulatory requirements.
  • Lead Safety Meetings and Manage Incident Reporting
    • Organize and lead regular safety meetings to discuss incidents, near-misses, and safety concerns.
    • Manage our incident reporting system to ensure accurate and timely reporting of incidents.
  • Maintain Currency and Qualification
    • Ensure our pilots maintain currency and qualification in at least two aircraft used in our operations.
    • Function as a crewmember when needed to maintain currency and qualification.
  • Develop Training Goals and Strategies
    • Develop training goals and strategies to ensure our pilots are trained and competent.
    • Assist in coordinating outside training and maintain pilot training records.
  • Function as a Line Check Pilot or Company Instructor
    • Qualify, evaluate, and mentor our pilots to ensure they meet our standards.
    • Enter applicable records into our pilot record database.
  • Notify the Chief Pilot/Director of Operations
    • Immediately notify the Chief Pilot/Director of Operations of any discrepancy or incident affecting our ability to perform within safety, regulatory compliance, and fiscal responsibility parameters.
  • Establish and Facilitate New Customers and Missions
    • Establish and facilitate new customers and missions for our flight operations.
Summary of Essential Duties:
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration
    • Collaborate with our Safety, Maintenance, Airport Operations, SOC, and Admin departments to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Administer the Company's Safety Management Program
    • Monitor safety issues, investigate incidents, and make recommendations to improve safety in the workplace.
  • Delegated Authority
    • Exercise delegated authority by the Director of Operations to exercise limited Operational Control of the Company.
  • Conduct Line Supervisory Flying
    • Conduct line supervisory flying to ensure the professionalism of our pilots and overall pilot standards.
  • Facilitate Pilot Ground School
    • Facilitate pilot ground school as qualified.
  • Encourage Employee Suggestions
    • Encourage employees to make suggestions for process improvements or report errors.
  • Ensure Pilot Appearance, Attendance, and Personal Conduct
    • Ensure pilot appearance, attendance, and personal conduct comply with Company policy.
  • Willingness to Become Qualified
    • Willingness to become qualified in the majority of our flight missions.
Qualifications:
  • First Class FAA Medical
    • Possess a First Class FAA medical.
  • Valid Driver's License and Good Driving Record
    • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Authorized to Work in the United States
    • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Commercial/Inst or Unrestricted ATP FAA
    • Commercial/Inst or Unrestricted ATP FAA.
  • Willingness to Work a Varying Schedule
    • Willing to work a varying schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Microsoft Office 365 Proficiency
    • Must have experience and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • 5-Year Work History Review and Background Check
    • Able to pass a required 5-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check.
  • DOT Pre-Employment Drug Screening
    • Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screening and be willing to submit to additional random drug and/or alcohol testing.
  • Polished and Professional Interpersonal Skills
    • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.

  • Qualify under 14 CFR and Management Personnel under part 135

  • Minimum of 2500 Flight Hours
    • Have a minimum of 2500 flight hours with 1,000 flight hours as Pilot-In-Command (PIC).
  • Minimum of 1000 Hours as PIC in Turbine-Powered Aircraft
    • Have a minimum of 1000 hours as a PIC in turbine-powered aircraft.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 133 Chief Pilot Designation

  • Aviation Safety Degree
