Role Summary: The Clinical Supervisor will oversee the clinical operations of direct service personnel delivering individual and group therapy to older adults within a senior center setting. This role is integral to a two-year pilot initiative aimed at enhancing Older Adult Specialty Mental Health services.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must possess an LCSW or LMFT license issued by the State of California Board of Behavioral Science.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in providing clinical supervision.
  • Proficient in delivering quality clinical oversight and mentorship to both licensed and unlicensed clinical staff, including the provision of clinical licensing hours.
  • Demonstrated expertise in individual and group therapy modalities.
  • Capability to develop and deliver curriculum-based training focused on group facilitation skills, grief, loss, and related therapeutic topics.
  • Extensive clinical experience working with older adults in senior services or similar environments is essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is necessary.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to engage with a diverse client population are crucial.
  • Must demonstrate a non-judgmental approach to foster positive client outcomes.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check (Live Scan fingerprinting) is mandatory prior to employment.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical supervision for approximately five direct service staff delivering mental health services through individual and group therapy to older adults.
  • Allocate up to six hours weekly for supervision of staff involved in therapy sessions, with additional hours dedicated to group facilitation training throughout the project duration.
  • Deliver comprehensive curriculum-based training to the project team, alongside ongoing coaching on topics related to group cycles, including grief, loss, and life reminiscence.
  • Conduct reviews of clinical documentation and quality assurance to ensure compliance with mental health standards.
  • Facilitate weekly individual and group supervision for licensed and unlicensed staff, focusing on case management and group therapy for clinical licensing hours.
  • Coordinate and participate in consultation meetings with project staff, maintaining regular communication with the senior center program director and multidisciplinary teams.
