SENIOR AUDIT SUPERVISOR

Crescent City Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Audit Supervisor to join a well-respected and financially robust regional CPA firm. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversees and is accountable for all aspects of audit or review engagements, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with clients throughout the year, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of their business operations and control systems, while fostering strong client relationships.
  • Informs the engagement Director or Partner of significant developments on client accounts, identifies potential challenges, and proposes effective solutions.
  • Ensures proper scheduling of engagements.
  • Responsible for developing, monitoring, and adhering to budgets for assigned Assurance and Advisory projects; investigates and clarifies any budget discrepancies to the Director or Partner and actively seeks opportunities for change orders.
  • Reviews financial statements and other deliverables for clients.
  • Leads, trains, supervises, and evaluates the work of senior and staff accountants.
  • Contributes significantly to staff performance evaluations, reviews, and ongoing mentorship.
  • Engages in the Firm's Business Development initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in public accounting.
  • Possession of a current and valid CPA license.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the United States, U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board standards.
  • Capability to direct, review, and mentor staff, including experienced accountants and seniors.
