Position Overview

Role Summary : Assist the Human Resources division in maintaining data accuracy and ensuring adherence to Federal, State, and Local regulations.

Under supervision, this role is accountable for implementing various HR initiatives and protocols for personnel at the facility. This position handles daily Human Resources functions and acts as a resource for staff members. Support may be provided in-person, via phone, or through electronic communication.

  • Conduct recruitment for hourly roles.
  • Oversee the pre-employment process, including E-Verify and candidate background checks.
  • Coordinate new employee orientation and ensure completion of all onboarding documentation.
  • Guarantee compliance with Local, State, and Federal regulations by tracking and maintaining necessary records.
  • Ensure precise, comprehensive, and timely employee information through data entry and/or completion of relevant standard forms or HRIS/ATS transactions. Updates may pertain to new hires, separations, job modifications, leave activities, departmental or location changes, pay adjustments, etc.
  • Conduct daily audits of employee attendance and time records to ensure accurate payroll data is delivered to the payroll team during designated pay cycles. Adhere to all established wage and hour compliance protocols and corporate governance standards.
  • Support local and national initiatives by utilizing Readerlink's change management strategies.
  • Maintain personnel files for current and former employees, ensuring compliance with internal document retention policies and external governmental regulations.
  • Manage employee data, including personal information, attendance, and termination records.
  • Update employee files to document personnel actions and provide information for payroll and other purposes.
  • Review employee files to respond to inquiries and provide information to authorized individuals.
  • Administer local recognition programs and employee engagement activities.
  • Assist with internal and external compliance audits.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of prior experience in an HR support capacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and HR Time Keeping Systems preferred.
  • Availability to support second shift on a regular basis as scheduled.

Key Competencies: To excel in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Understanding of Recruiting processes and Benefit Administration.
  • Knowledge of Payroll systems.
  • Familiarity with Employee and Labor Relations.

  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
