Job Summary:

Human Resource Analyst 1 – HR CBC/CDL Consultant

This role is responsible for maintaining the flow of pre-employment checks and CDL drug and alcohol testing to ensure employee and public safety. The successful candidate will resolve any issues related to these areas and assist with Real ID required fingerprint checks.

This is a limited duration appointment expected to end on or before June 30, 2025. Limited duration appointments are benefits eligible and have a designated maximum length of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and review CBC, education verification, and pre-employment drug testing information from third-party vendors.
  • Track information for all CDL holders and their results.
  • Notify hiring managers and administrative staff if a candidate is eligible for hire.
  • Provide CBC information to review committees.
  • Coordinate resolution of issues with CDL Drug and Alcohol Program testing participants.
  • Research and complete CDL release forms.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for CBC questions and requests.
  • Order background checks through a third-party vendor.
  • Monitor third-party databases and notify hiring teams when candidates need additional information.
  • Receive and process fingerprint information.
  • Maintain Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) clearance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three years of human resource paraprofessional or technical-level experience.

OR

Valid certification as a Professional in Human Resource awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute, and one year of human resource experience.

OR

A bachelor's degree in human resource management, organizational behavior, or a related field.

Special Qualifications:

Driving is an essential function of this position. A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in human resources, criminal background checks, drug and alcohol testing, and reviewing and processing invoices.

Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) experience is also preferred.
