Job Summary

SpaceX is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our personnel, facilities, and assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular patrols of company properties to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Support the execution of security plans and protocols to ensure the safety of personnel and assets.
  • Participate in advanced security training and exercises to stay up-to-date on the latest security best practices.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify and address potential security threats.
  • Provide mobile security support as directed by the operations center.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including fires, medical emergencies, and suspicious activity.
  • Execute security support as directed by SpaceX security leadership.
  • Conduct roving patrols of assigned locations to ensure the safety and security of personnel and assets.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in the military, law enforcement, overseas security contracting, or advanced corporate security.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think critically and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Military deployment and/or counterinsurgency experience.
  • Aptitude for critical incident handling.
  • CPR/first aid certification.
  • Computer-based proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Extensive team-oriented experience.
  • Small unit leadership experience.
  • Foreign language proficiency.
  • Impeccable character and integrity.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Additional Requirements
  • Availability to work any schedule, including nights, overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts.
  • Ability to wear approximately 20-30lbs of gear throughout a 12-hour shift.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time in support of SpaceX Security requirements.
  • Valid driver's license.
Compensation and Benefits

Pay range: $24.50/hour.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short & long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks.

You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation & will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year.
