Vast is currently seeking a Full-Time Safety and Security Specialist to enhance our operations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Principal Security Officer to establish and enforce security protocols for our testing facility. This position is non-exempt and based at our facility.

Available Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist visitors with the check-in process
  • Verify identification and purpose of visit for guests
  • Issue appropriate visitor and temporary employee badges
  • Conduct patrols of all buildings and surrounding areas
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activities
  • Document and report incidents to Security Management
  • Escort vendors on and off the premises as required
  • Support other departments as necessary
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • California BSIS Guard card
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in security operations within an industrial setting
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Exceptional customer service abilities
  • Clear and courteous communication skills
  • Capability to de-escalate situations verbally
  • BSIS or other relevant security training
  • Ability to work independently
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be prepared to work in challenging climate conditions
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position varies based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand.
