Vast is seeking a Full-Time Security Specialist to support our operations.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Principal Security Officer to establish and enforce security protocols for our facility.

This position is non-exempt and based out of our operational site.

Responsibilities:
Assist visitors with the check-in process
Verify identification and purpose of visitors
Issue appropriate visitor and temporary employee badges
Conduct patrols of all buildings and premises
Monitor and report any suspicious activities
Document and report all incidents to Security Management
Support other departments as required
Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
California BSIS Guard card
2+ years of experience in security operations within an industrial setting

Preferred Skills and Experience:
Strong customer service skills
Effective communication and politeness
Ability to de-escalate situations verbally
BSIS or other security training
Capability to work independently

Additional Qualifications:
Must be able to operate in extreme weather conditions: heat, wind, and cold

Salary Range:
California

$18 - $20 USD

Base salary will vary based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand. Salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package.
