Position Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Healthcare plays a pivotal role in overseeing the financial management of the Health Care Authority (HCA). This leadership position is essential for ensuring that federal funding is effectively secured and utilized, thereby enhancing the agency's capacity to deliver quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Oversight: Manage and direct the financial resources of HCA, ensuring compliance with federal funding regulations.
  • Strategic Consultation: Provide expert advice and consultation to senior management, including the Chief Financial Officer and executive leadership, on financial strategies and Medicaid funding management.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the development and management of budgets, financial forecasts, and analyses related to healthcare programs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various divisions within HCA and external stakeholders to ensure the financial viability of healthcare initiatives.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct advanced financial modeling and analysis to support decision-making processes and maximize federal reimbursements.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, public administration, or a related field, along with significant experience in managing complex financial systems. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a strong analytical skill set are essential for success in this role.

Work Environment

This position offers flexibility, including the potential for telework, while also requiring occasional on-site presence to fulfill business needs. The default work location is within the State of Washington.
