Job Summary

\

We are seeking a skilled Senior Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and directing the preparation of all food by the production team.

Responsibilities

  • \
  • Prepares or directs preparation of all food by the kitchen staff, following recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.\
  • Conducts daily meetings with production team members to discuss menu planning, inventory management, and quality control.\
  • Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, operation of equipment, food safety, and sanitation based on Corporate and Regulatory standards.\
  • Maintains the inventory of food and non-food supplies to stay within established guidelines while ensuring necessary products are available when needed.\
  • Creates par levels for storeroom and places food orders in consultation with the Executive Chef.\
  • Orders chemicals and makes decisions regarding the utilization of leftover food products, staying within Corporate guidelines.\
  • Plans and prepares menus for special events as requested by the Executive Chef.\
  • Completes all daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in corporate policies and procedures.\
  • Projects and practices consistent ownership attributes, providing high-level customer service at all points of contact.\
  • Works with the receiver to ensure proper food storage and HACCP protocol is always followed.\
  • All invoicing, purchasing needs, and other duties as assigned.\

    • Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on experience.\

    • Hours: 40 hours per week.\
    • Shift: Varies, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.\
    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.\
    • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience as a sous chef or similar role.\
    • Certifications: Food safety and sanitation certifications required.\
