Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join our team at Hi-Rise Bread Company. As a key member of our pastry team, you will be responsible for managing the production of a wide variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, cakes, and other sweet treats.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have at least 2-3 years of professional pastry experience in either a restaurant or bakery setting. They will be expected to manage a small team of pastry staff, overseeing the preparation and presentation of all pastry products. This includes making seasonal jams, sauces, and fillings, baking quickbreads, pastries, cookies, and tarts, making, stacking, and decorating cakes, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements
  • Proficient in making a variety of seasonal jams, sauces, and fillings
  • Ability to bake a variety of quickbreads, pastries, cookies, and tarts
  • Experience in making, stacking, and decorating cakes
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
