Job Overview

\

The Senior Sous Chef plays a critical role in the success of our kitchen operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and directing the preparation of all food by the production team, ensuring that meals are prepared to the highest standard and presented in a visually appealing manner.

Responsibilities

  • \
  • Prepare or direct preparation of all food by the kitchen staff, following recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.\
  • Conduct daily meetings with production team members to discuss menu planning, inventory management, and quality control.\
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation, operation of equipment, food safety, and sanitation based on Corporate and Regulatory standards.\
  • Maintain the inventory of food and non-food supplies to stay within established guidelines while ensuring necessary products are available when needed.\
  • Create par levels for storeroom and place food orders in consultation with the Executive Chef.\
  • Order chemicals and make decisions regarding the utilization of leftover food products, staying within Corporate guidelines.\
  • Plan and prepare menus for special events as requested by the Executive Chef.\
  • Complete all daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in corporate policies and procedures.\
  • Project and practice consistent ownership attributes, providing high-level customer service at all points of contact.\
  • Work with the receiver to ensure proper food storage and HACCP protocol is always followed.\
  • All invoicing, purchasing needs, and other duties as assigned.\

    • Estimated Annual Salary: $95,000, depending on experience.\

    • Shift: Varies, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.\
    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.\
    • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience as a sous chef or similar role.\
    • Certifications: Food safety and sanitation certifications required.\
