Position Overview

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst at HN Consulting, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our projects align with strategic objectives and deliver value to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements Documentation: You will be responsible for capturing and documenting business requirements, defining project scope, objectives, and justifications, as well as creating executive summaries and project charters.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously while serving as a mentor to junior IT Business staff, helping them develop user-requirement traceability matrices.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the primary contact and technical advisor for clients, demonstrating collaborative leadership and fostering strong relationships.
  • Standards Compliance: Ensure adherence to established architectural standards and software development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Critical Analysis: Participate in group discussions, providing critical analysis and guidance to define and develop user requirements effectively.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize your extensive knowledge of Information Technology and computer systems to inform project decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, alongside strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
  • Leadership: Take ownership of complex projects, demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Initiative: Display a proactive approach, working independently and exercising sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Critical Thinking: Apply high-level critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and propose solutions aligned with business strategies.
  • Experience: A minimum of six years in roles such as IT Business Analyst or Project Analyst is preferred, with a proven track record of participation in large-scale software development projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the Higher Education sector.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce implementations, particularly within the Higher Education platform.
  • Experience in SCRUM or agile methodologies.
  • Salesforce administration experience.
  • Strong data management skills.
  • Salesforce Admin certifications (ADM201 and ADM211) are a plus.
