Position Summary
The selected candidate will engage in the strategic planning, design, execution, testing, deployment, and ongoing management of intricate, multi-functional IT systems. This position requires providing leadership, guidance, and technical oversight to team members.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues, various Department of Defense entities, government agencies, and commercial partners to offer technical support in addressing and resolving issues related to lifecycle management and project execution.
- Represent the directorate by preparing and delivering comprehensive project briefings and presentations to senior leadership.
- Monitor financial allocations and expenditures, ensuring accurate billing and reconciliation of invoices.
- Provide insightful recommendations and detailed analyses that contribute to the organization’s success, focusing on how IT can enhance operational effectiveness.
- Integrate and manage complex strategic initiatives across multiple business lines.
- Assist in establishing standardized practices, tools, and templates for project and portfolio management, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Attention to Detail: Proven experience in reviewing IT-related work for accuracy and consistency.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to maintain relationships with clients and assess their IT needs to develop tailored solutions.
  • Oral Communication: Experience in briefing management and technical staff on IT systems and projects, including conveying technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify and evaluate alternatives for complex IT issues by gathering information from diverse sources.

Experience Requirements
Applicants must have at least one year of relevant experience that showcases the necessary competencies for success in this role. This includes experience in supporting IT projects related to portfolio management, capital planning, and strategic planning, as well as delivering briefings on emerging technologies.

Additional Information
This position is part of the Cyber Excepted Service and does not provide eligibility for conversion to the Competitive Service. A trial period may be required for new appointees. Telework options will depend on mission requirements. Candidates may be subject to drug testing as part of the hiring process.
