Job Overview:
The Registered/Certified Behavior Technician is responsible for delivering educational and behavioral support services to children and adults with special needs. This role involves collaboration with educational professionals and behavioral specialists to meet learning and behavioral objectives effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Implement directives from the BCBA, educators, and program supervisors.
2. Apply behavior management strategies, including prevention, intervention, and consequence techniques.
3. Provide crisis intervention as necessary.
4. Review and execute behavior intervention plans.
5. Assess and implement behavioral goals outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
6. Conduct ABA-specific therapeutic services under the guidance of a BCBA, such as Pivotal Response Training and Discrete Trial Training.
7. Assist in academic instruction as directed by teaching staff.
8. Support the development plans of Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP), Occupational Therapists (OT), and Physical Therapists (PT).
9. Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
10. Collect, analyze, and report behavioral and academic data efficiently.
11. Uphold confidentiality standards rigorously.
12. Aid students in developing independent living skills through self-care routines.
13. Provide support to students in various environments, including classrooms and recreational areas.

Qualifications:
1. Valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and/or State Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) license.
2. High School diploma or equivalent is required.
3. A minimum of two years of relevant experience is preferred, including one year in a pediatric setting.
4. An Associate's degree in behavioral studies or a related field is preferred.
5. Compliance with all applicable professional standards of practice.
6. Participation in Amergis' Competency program as required.
7. Current CPR certification, if applicable.
8. Must meet all federal, state, and local regulations.
9. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients, with proficiency in English.
10. Basic computer skills are necessary.
11. Must be at least 18 years of age.
