Position Overview:

The Regional Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is responsible for delivering ABA therapy to clients aged 2-6 on the autism spectrum under the guidance of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst). The role requires a willingness to travel minimally to various centers within the designated region and maintain availability for a minimum of 4 sessions per week, with the potential for up to 6 sessions weekly on a consistent schedule. Session coverage is available Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM (travel time excluded).

Session Details:

Morning Session: 7:45 AM - 12:15 PM

Afternoon Session: 12:15 PM - 4:45 PM

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver one-on-one therapy to assigned clients
  • Independently manage coverage for pre-planned absences; ability to accept same-day cancellations for additional hours
  • Execute programs and behavior intervention plans as outlined by the BCBA
  • Exhibit proficiency in fundamental ABA principles and methodologies
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions and meetings
  • Oversee clients during lunch, nap, or break periods
  • Maintain accurate data tracking systems and session documentation as part of the client's medical record
  • Represent The Place for Children with Autism positively to all stakeholders
  • Adhere to established protocols and procedures, including safety regulations
Qualifications:
  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, active car insurance, and successful MVR check
  • Physical requirements: ability to lift up to twenty pounds, bend at the knee, and squat for up to one hour daily, as well as the ability to follow a child without restriction throughout the center, sometimes at a rapid pace, to manage elopement behaviors.
