LEEP Forward & Quantum LEEP Academy, a center dedicated to developmental pediatric therapy and educational initiatives, is seeking Full-Time Behavioral Support Technicians for our K-8 educational programs. Our Quantum LEEP Academy location is designed to foster growth and learning for children.
As a multidisciplinary facility, we offer a range of services including Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Mental Health support, Educational guidance, and Behavioral interventions. Our programs cater to children aged 3-14 who present various developmental challenges, including autism spectrum disorders.
Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (such as Speech, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Psychology) or a degree in an unrelated field coupled with substantial life experience working with children with developmental challenges. A valid RBT credential in good standing with the BACB is required.
In this role, you will work directly in our therapeutic preschool and K-8 programs, engaging in enrichment activities, after-school programs, and care services. You will be guided by a lead educator and receive ongoing support from a Master's level clinical supervisor and seasoned staff members. This entry-level position serves as a stepping stone for professional development in the field. Experience with special needs children is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage children through play-based learning
- Foster meaningful relationships with children and colleagues
- Understand and adapt to each child's individual needs
- Ensure a safe and organized environment
- Implement therapeutic strategies developed by our multidisciplinary team
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, including ABA within the NDBI framework
- Assist in creating engaging materials for children
- Support data collection and documentation for accountability
- Collaborate with BCBAs and other professionals in skill acquisition and behavior assessment
- Mentor new staff during on-site training sessions
- Participate in clinical discussions and training opportunities
- Incorporate feedback from supervision into daily practices
- Adhere to organizational policies and ethical standards as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
Position Details:
- Full-time position with a consistent schedule
- Work hours are Monday through Friday, typically 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM
- Year-round programming with scheduled breaks
- Monthly professional development sessions
- Training in Crisis Intervention techniques
- Support in obtaining Registered Developmental and/or Behavior Technician credentials
- Opportunities for career advancement for Master’s candidates in related fields
