Utility Engineering Project Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our Utility Engineering projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of field and office staff, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring that services meet company quality standards and client specifications
  • Participate in planning and implementing procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency
  • Develop and manage proposals, budgets, schedules, billings, and contracts
  • Establish work plans and staffing requirements for multiple projects
  • Participate in business development opportunities and maintain strong client relationships
  • Develop and conduct presentations to clients and other critical stakeholders
  • Effectively interface with sub-consultants and other business relationships
  • Manage and report financial status, including AR/WIP and billing cycles
  • Provide support to other operational units as needed
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of industry-related work experience in a professional or management capacity
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Professional License or ability to get licensed quickly strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large-scale projects
  • Strong proficiency with or understanding of tools such as AutoCAD, Micro Station, Geopack, MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly define assignments/deliverables to team members
  • Ability to oversee, mentor, and motivate a project team, troubleshoot issues, and problem-solve on the fly
  • Ability to meet or exceed aggressive deadlines while maintaining teamwork and collaboration with others
