KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in petroleum, chemical, and dry bulk tank maintenance.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required; CDL is a plus.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment screening.
  • Proficiency in DOT and ASME tank repairs.
  • Experience in maneuvering trailers in and out of the workshop is advantageous.
  • Welding experience with aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel tanks and components.
  • Knowledge of tank plumbing and operational systems.
  • Experience in installing power takeoffs, drive lines, and product pumping systems.
  • Familiarity with DOT tank inspection protocols and testing apparatus.
  • Skills in layout and fabrication.
  • Registered Inspector training and certification are beneficial.
  • Possession of personal tools is necessary.
  • Preferred candidates will hold inspector credentials.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work setting involves exposure to elevated noise levels, varying temperatures, and weather conditions, as well as metal welding processes and chemicals, including solvents and paints. The environment is fast-paced, with moving machinery and vehicles.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand, bend, squat, kneel, push, and pull for a minimum of eight hours.
  • Regular lifting and carrying of up to 35 pounds; frequently up to 55 pounds; occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work in environments requiring the use of ladders, stairs, and tight spaces.
  • Must safely operate various power and hand tools, as well as fork trucks, while utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE).
