QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in petroleum, chemical, and dry bulk tank repairs is essential.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required; a CDL is preferred.
  • Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment screening.
  • Familiarity with DOT and ASME tank repair standards is necessary.
  • Experience in maneuvering trailers in and out of the shop is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in welding aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel tanks and components is required.
  • Knowledge of tank plumbing and operational systems is important.
  • Experience in installing power takeoffs, drive lines, and product pumping systems is beneficial.
  • Understanding of DOT tank inspection procedures and testing equipment is a plus.
  • Layout and fabrication skills are desirable.
  • Registered Inspector training and certification is an advantage.
  • Candidates must possess their own tools.
  • Inspector credentials are preferred for the successful candidate.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment may involve exposure to high noise levels, temperature fluctuations, and various chemicals, including solvents and paints. The position requires working in a fast-paced setting with moving equipment and vehicles.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to stand, bend, squat, kneel, push, and pull for a minimum of eight hours.
  • Regular lifting and carrying of up to 35 pounds; frequently up to 55 pounds; occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Capability to work in elevated positions, including the use of ladders and platforms.
  • Must be adept at operating various power and hand tools safely, as well as utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE).
