Tank Trailer Technician

• Experience in petroleum, chemical, and dry bulk tank mechanics is essential.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required; CDL is preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment screening.
• Proficiency in DOT and ASME tank repairs.
• Experience in maneuvering trailers in and out of the shop is advantageous.
• Welding experience with aluminum, stainless, and mild steel tanks and components is necessary.
• Understanding of tank plumbing and operational systems.
• Experience in installing power takeoffs, drive lines, and product pumping systems.
• Familiarity with DOT tank inspection procedures and testing equipment.
• Layout and fabrication skills are a plus.
• Registered Inspector training and certification is beneficial.
• Must possess personal tools.
• Inspector credentials are preferred.

The work environment involves exposure to high noise levels, varying temperatures, and chemicals, including solvents, undercoating, paint, and caulking. The pace is fast, with moving equipment and motorized vehicles.

This position requires:

• A minimum of eight hours of standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
• Regular lifting and carrying of up to 35 pounds, frequently up to 55 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work in environments requiring the use of ladders, stairs, and climbing in and out of trailers.
• Proficiency in operating various power and hand tools safely, as well as using personal protective equipment (PPE).
