Schedules Available: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Monday - Friday (4x10 hr days - Alternating Mondays and Fridays Off) 6am-4:30pm

Weekend rotation: No scheduled weekends - After Hours / Weekends as if issues or needs arise.

Holiday rotation: Paid Time Off - 1 or 2 holidays scheduled On Call per year.

Position Summary:

The IT Computer Support Specialist role is essential in delivering technical support to computer users. This position involves addressing inquiries and resolving technical issues for clients, whether in person, over the phone, or through electronic communication. Responsibilities include assisting with computer hardware and software utilization, which encompasses printing, installation, word processing, email, and operating systems.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
  • Respond to user inquiries regarding software or hardware operations to troubleshoot issues.
  • Execute commands and monitor system performance to ensure correct operations and identify errors.
  • Prepare equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or necessary software.
  • Install and conduct minor repairs on hardware, software, or peripheral devices, adhering to design or installation specifications.
  • Document information in help tickets for future problem-solving reference.
  • Consult technical manuals, collaborate with users, or perform computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve issues or provide technical support.
  • Refer significant hardware or software issues or defective products to vendors or technicians for resolution.
  • Create training materials and procedures, or instruct users on the effective use of hardware or software.
  • Engage with staff, users, and management to determine requirements for new systems or modifications.
  • Monitor network closets for port availability and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Communicate with telecommunication vendors to address service-related issues.
  • Support phone software and hardware, configure phones, and manage voicemail setups and password resets.
  • Assist with Help Desk responsibilities during staff absences.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

  • Expert proficiency with computers is required, including Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
