Senior Business Development Officer

City National Bank is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Officer Senior SBA to join our team. As a key member of our commercial banking team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development in assigned sales territories.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform business development activities in assigned sales territories to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Support the City National Bank network of business units to achieve sales goals and objectives.
- Analyze the needs of prospects and provide information about Bank products and services that can enhance their financial position.
- Collaborate with CNB colleagues to close deals and implement banking services.
- Develop relationships with prospects to increase overall business done by office or region.
- Ability to review, structure, process, and fulfill complex transactions.
- Cultivate referral sources through contacts within the Bank and in the community.
- Build and develop prospects into clients, discussing and cross-selling appropriate products and services.
- Achieve specific business development goals, establishing account information, tracking, and documenting sales activities.
- Work with management to plan business development opportunities.
- Maintain limited personal contact with new clients and collaborate with relationship managers and other CNB colleagues on sales and implementation of banking services.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SBA environment required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a direct sales environment required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Previous underwriting experience is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of Bank asset and liability products.
- Thorough understanding of banking services.
- General understanding of the commercial credit underwriting process.
- Excellent analytical and financial analysis skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated sales skills.
The overall annualized compensation range is $140,000 to $169,950. This position is a commission-based role.
