Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and proactive Lead Industrial Process Engineer to take charge of designing and simulating innovative and efficient factory layouts at Seurat Technologies. This role requires a strong foundation in industrial engineering principles, exceptional skills in both 2D and 3D CAD software, and a proven track record of addressing complex challenges through innovative design optimization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at leveraging data and analytics to create layout designs that enhance production processes, improve workflow, and ensure compliance with safety standards, while also identifying opportunities for cost reduction and productivity enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to optimize operations, reduce waste, and enhance safety.
  • Design and refine factory layouts utilizing AutoCAD, focusing on production lines and auxiliary functions to maximize safety, efficiency, and flow.
  • Develop simulation and modeling strategies to establish efficient flow paths and optimize spatial utilization through data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with process engineers to determine standard operational times using methodologies such as MOST, MTM, or MODAPTS.
  • Support necessary PFMEA and control plans based on established DFMEA and process definitions.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure layout designs align with Seurat's strategic objectives, facilitating seamless integration across production, material flow, and construction.
  • Oversee layout design projects from inception to completion, including timeline establishment, progress tracking, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Utilize 3D modeling software for spatial visualization and allocation, employing analytics to drive layout enhancements and innovation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience focused on factory or production line layout design.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, with experience in 3D modeling and simulation software such as Autodesk or Siemens Tecnomatix.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a background in process optimization, and the ability to devise systems-level solutions for intricate challenges.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and production processes, including machining, assembly, and automation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industrial engineering principles and methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
  • Exceptional conflict resolution, communication, and organizational skills, capable of managing tight deadlines and competing priorities in a high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and best practices in factory design and process optimization.
