Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician/Coordinator to join our Biological Sciences team at Applied Medical. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for managing laboratory operations, ensuring the quality and accuracy of laboratory procedures, and maintaining laboratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory and Equipment Management: Manage the inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment, including ordering, storage, and maintenance. Coordinate the repair and calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Team Management: Coordinate the activities of laboratory technicians and support the team to complete projects, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve technical or operational issues that arise within the laboratory and implement corrective actions and preventive measures to address recurring problems.
  • Data Managing and Reporting: Responsible for archiving the accurate documentation and reporting of GLP studies and ensuring proper data entry and management. Request and manage documents through SAP system.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure the quality and accuracy of laboratory procedures by following established protocols, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety regulations and standards.
Performance Objectives
  • Within your first 30 days: Complete all Applied Learning foundational courses with a passing grade of 95% or above, demonstrating rapid integration into company processes. Participate in team meetings and operations, contributing valuable insights and ideas to at least three team discussions. Independently maintain laboratory routine daily/weekly/monthly tasks. Be proficient in operating standard lab equipment.
  • Within 60 days: Independently perform preventive maintenance tasks for laboratory equipment. Route documents for task/project approval. Build and maintain relationships with current vendors to ensure smooth lab operations.
  • Within 90 days to one year: Develop interpersonal connections and relationships with others to effectively accomplish project objectives and deliverables. Handle a variety of tasks on your own.
Position Requirements
  • Knowledge of standard laboratory equipment and supplies.
  • Strong computer skills; experienced user of Microsoft office programs.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Friendly, good attitude, customer service oriented.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Decision-making thought process.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice.
  • Bachelor's Degree in biology or a related field with preferred previous experience in lab management.
