As a Manufacturing Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our production facility. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining and enhancing our essential machinery and operational systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Systems Management:
Oversee the installation, upkeep, and repair of air compressors and associated equipment. This includes removing and replacing units, connecting components, and integrating them into existing systems. You will independently provide service and maintenance to ensure reliable operations. - Diagnostic and Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, determining root causes and implementing effective solutions. You will respond swiftly to breakdowns and emergencies to minimize disruptions in production. - Safety and Compliance:
Uphold and advocate for safety protocols and regulations within the facility. Participate in safety inspections to maintain a secure and compliant working environment. - Team Collaboration:
Work alongside cross-functional teams, including engineers and fellow technicians, to tackle complex operational challenges. Effective communication with team members will be essential for seamless coordination. - Continuous Improvement:
Recognize opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency improvements. Implement best practices to elevate overall plant operations.
Performance Objectives:
Initial 30 Days:
Familiarize yourself with the company's Quality Systems, safety regulations, and policies. Engage in training with team members and tour the facility to understand key areas and equipment locations.
Next 60 Days:
Participate in hands-on training to improve your skills in equipment maintenance and repairs. Take on progressively complex tasks and contribute to ongoing projects, while documenting maintenance activities accurately.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
- Experience in compressed air maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with central plant and manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of safety requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented with a focus on precision.
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
