Job Summary:
Exagen Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team. As a Clinical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory by receiving, accessioning, and processing laboratory samples for testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unpack and verify incoming samples and paperwork to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform accessioning and accurate data entry of samples using our Laboratory Information System.
- Manage freezer sample storage and maintain temperature logs to ensure sample integrity.
- Assist with other pre-analytical activities as needed, including washing red blood cells and freezing them for MTX assays, centrifuging samples, and preparing aliquots.
- Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal personnel to ensure seamless laboratory operations.
Requirements:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Tuesday to Saturday, and be available for overtime hours as needed.
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's or associate degree in Science preferred.
- Experience with general office equipment, including computers, telephones, and copiers.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
Pay Range: $21/hr - $24.04/hr
