The Role


Headlands Research is in search of a qualified Laboratory Specialist to perform a range of technical laboratory tasks.

You will be responsible for operating sensitive instruments to process samples and conduct analyses, documenting results accurately. The ideal candidate will possess experience in potentially hazardous environments.

He/She will be well-versed in maintaining safety protocols and will have a passion for contributing to meaningful advancements in research.

The objective is to enhance laboratory processes and achieve reliable and significant outcomes that can influence research initiatives.


Position Type:
Full Time

Pay Range:
$20-22/hr

Work Schedule:
Monday- Friday 8:00am - 5:30pm

Responsibilities:
- Collect, process, and dispatch laboratory samples (blood, hazardous materials, tissue, etc.)

- Design and implement laboratory testing in accordance with established protocols

- Accurately document all data and results in specified formats (both paper and electronic)

- Maintain laboratory equipment and assist in procuring necessary supplies

- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel required

- A minimum of 2 years of experience managing laboratory processes is highly preferred.
