Position Summary
The Senior Manager of Information Systems Assurance will oversee a dedicated team of professionals tasked with the evaluation, documentation, and testing of general controls across diverse technology landscapes. This role is pivotal in assessing system security, access controls, and recovery procedures while contributing to the growth of the IS Assurance practice through business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Document and evaluate application and automated controls across various software platforms.
  2. Prepare comprehensive audit reports and actionable recommendations based on IS audit findings.
  3. Identify and implement opportunities for utilizing computer-assisted audit techniques (CAATs).
  4. Review internal controls in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Engage with client areas to enhance controls, mitigate risks, and improve operational efficiency.
  6. Assess key risks and evaluate their potential impact and likelihood.
  7. Identify and communicate technical concerns to IS Assurance management.
  8. Plan and execute IS audit assignments effectively.
  9. Validate relevant technical issues and inform client management accordingly.
  10. Review and provide feedback on the work of IS Assurance staff.
  11. Integrate technology seamlessly into the audit process.
  12. Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding inquiries and issues.
  13. Foster and maintain strong relationships with client personnel and management.
  14. Conduct interviews with clients to gather pertinent information.
  15. Document controls, tests conducted, and results obtained.
  16. Perform additional duties as required.
Supervisory Duties
  1. Oversee the daily workload of IS Senior Associates and Associates, ensuring quality in their work.
  2. Ensure that IS Assurance team members are proficient in relevant software and resources.
  3. Evaluate the performance of IS Assurance staff and assist in their professional development.
  4. Provide regular performance feedback and complete evaluations for team members.
  5. Act as a mentor to IS Assurance staff as needed.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
  2. A Master's degree in Information Systems or a relevant advanced degree is preferred.
Experience
  1. A minimum of eight years of experience in information systems and operational auditing is required.
  2. Four to five years of supervisory experience is necessary.
  3. Experience in public accounting and internal auditing environments is preferred.
  4. Experience conducting general and application control reviews is essential.
Certifications
  1. CPA, CISA, CISSP, and/or CFE certification is required.
Technical Skills
  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  2. Familiarity with industry software such as PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, SAP, Lawson, Oracle Financials, Great Plains, Solomon IV, and MAS/90-500 is highly desirable.

  9. Executive presence with the ability to serve as the primary contact for engagements.
  10. Ability to interact effectively with professionals at all levels.
  11. Advanced understanding of internal controls.
  12. Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a background in large public accounting firms, preferably with experience serving SEC/PCAOB clients.
