Senior Federal Financial Management Analyst / Auditing Support


ERIMAX Inc. is seeking a highly skilled professional to support our client in their mission to educate and prepare health professionals and leaders within the uniformed services. This role is pivotal in ensuring the operational readiness of our Military and Public Health Systems, as well as contributing to the National Security and Defense Strategies of the United States.

The client’s manpower division is responsible for the preparation, execution, and management of the Agency's resource portfolio. This includes developing comprehensive analyses of ongoing programs, anticipating operational changes, and modifying missions to establish long-range budgets as part of the Program Objective Memorandums and Budget Estimate Submissions directed to the Defense Health Agency (DHA).


Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities are executed primarily through various organizational divisions, including:

  • Accounting Systems and Policy Division
  • Accounts Payable Division
  • Agreements Division
  • Budget Division
  • Financial Services Division
  • Resource Management Information Division
  • Quality Assurance Division

In this role, you will provide senior-level financial management expertise, focusing on:

  • Comprehensive audit support to the FMG Directorate and the Assistant Vice President of Resource Management.
  • Assisting with the management of Provided-by-Client (PBC) packages for financial audits.
  • Delivering reliable financial information to meet mandated audit requirements.
  • Standardizing business processes and internal controls to support thorough financial and IT audits.
  • Reviewing Independent Public Accountant (IPA) samples and coordinating responses with relevant departments.
  • Conducting internal controls reviews and testing for Government Purchase Card processes.
  • Analyzing audit findings to propose corrective actions related to financial management and internal controls.
  • Implementing corrective action plans and preparing follow-up presentations on improvements.
  • Providing advisory support to clients regarding audit and compliance issues.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in DoD Government auditing.
  • Experience in preparing audit responses for senior management and Independent Public Accountants.
  • Proficiency in developing PBC and sample document packages.
  • Experience in preparing and testing Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).
  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or Communication.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint and Google Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Capability to manage and maintain program documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

It is preferred that the Senior Financial Management Analyst holds:

  • Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) and/or Certified Government Financial Management (CGFM) certification.
