Position Overview
The Senior Manager of IT Audit is tasked with overseeing a dedicated team of IS Assurance experts. This role involves the comprehensive assessment, documentation, and evaluation of general controls across diverse technological frameworks. The objective is to scrutinize system security, access controls, and backup recovery protocols while ensuring robust IS organizational practices.
- Conduct thorough documentation and testing of application and automated controls across various software platforms.
- Prepare detailed audit reports along with actionable recommendations stemming from IS audit activities.
- Identify and leverage opportunities for utilizing computer-assisted audit techniques (CAATs) and manage their implementation as necessary.
- Engage in the evaluation of internal controls in accordance with relevant compliance standards.
- Communicate effectively with client areas to enhance controls, mitigate risks, and boost operational efficiency.
- Assess key risks, determining their potential impact and likelihood of occurrence.
- Identify and articulate technical concerns to IS Assurance management.
- Plan and execute IS audit engagements with precision.
- Validate relevant technical issues and escalate them to client management as needed.
- Review and provide feedback on the work of IS Assurance staff.
- Ensure the integration of technology into the audit process.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding inquiries and issues.
- Foster and maintain relationships with client personnel and management.
- Conduct interviews with clients to gather pertinent information.
- Document controls, tests performed, and outcomes.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
- Oversee the daily activities of IS Senior Associates and Associates, reviewing their work products.
- Ensure that IS Assurance team members are well-trained on relevant software and resources.
- Evaluate the performance of IS Assurance team members, aiding in their professional development.
- Provide ongoing performance feedback and complete evaluations for IS Assurance staff.
- Act as a mentor to IS Assurance team members as appropriate.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- A Master's degree in Information Systems or a relevant advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of eight years of experience in information systems and operational auditing is required.
- Four to five years of supervisory experience is necessary.
- Experience in public accounting and internal auditing environments is essential.
- Prior experience conducting general and application control reviews is required.
- Possession of CPA, CISA, CISSP, and/or CFE certification is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Familiarity with industry software such as PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, SAP, Lawson, Oracle Financials, Great Plains, Solomon IV, and MAS/90-500 is highly desirable.
- Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently or collaboratively.

The ideal candidate will have a background in large public accounting firms, particularly those with experience serving SEC/PCAOB clients.
