Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) in our Emergency Department provides professional nursing care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. This role involves coordinating care planning with other disciplines, providing direct and indirect patient care, and demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the delivery of care.
- Delegate patient care to other members of the healthcare team.
- Coordinate patient care and communicate extensively with the healthcare team, patients, and/or their family or significant other(s).
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patient status, symptomatology, and results of diagnostic studies.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Maintain and demonstrate high standards of professional ethics.
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse New Jersey State license.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS, and/or ENPC within 1 year of hire.
- A minimum of 8 hours of education every two years in basic trauma assessment, intervention, and stabilization.
- A minimum of one (1) year RN experience required to qualify for the sign-on bonus.
