Position OverviewThe Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (ED) is responsible for delivering professional nursing care to patients across all age groups, including neonates, children, adults, and the elderly. This role involves coordinating care with various healthcare disciplines and providing both direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced emergency environment. The RN must demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and accountability, functioning with minimal supervision while ensuring safe and efficient triage of patients entering the ED.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Assume responsibility for delegating patient care tasks to other healthcare team members.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, patients, and their families to ensure coordinated care.
- Communicate promptly with physicians regarding any changes in patient conditions, symptoms, or diagnostic results.
- Respond swiftly and accurately to changes in patient status or treatment responses, utilizing specialized emergency equipment as needed.
- Uphold high standards of professional ethics and conduct.
Sign-on Bonus: $5000
New Graduates Welcome
This is a full-time position with evening shifts, requiring 12-hour shifts from 11 am to 11:30 pm, including rotating weekends.
- Associate Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Must possess a current Registered Nurse license in New Jersey.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required within one year of hire.
- A minimum of 8 hours of education every two years in basic trauma assessment and stabilization is mandatory.
To qualify for the sign-on bonus, candidates must have at least one year of RN experience. Please note that the sign-on bonus is not applicable under the Residency Program.
