Role Summary:

The Senior Coordinator for Supply Chain Logistics will oversee daily logistics functions, ensuring effective communication with the Global supply team regarding inbound deliveries, managing partnerships with transportation providers, and guaranteeing timely distribution to third-party logistics (3PL) providers. This position operates within a dynamic and sensitive environment, requiring adaptability and precision while adhering to International, Federal, and State regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution of the Global supply strategy.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of export and import regulations to enhance the implementation of company goals, focusing on domestic and import shipments, including bulk movements, finished goods, and clinical samples.
  • Engage with external regulatory bodies to resolve logistics challenges, including Customs and FDA matters.
  • Ensure timely payment of all fees to facilitate smooth operations at ports and airports.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to maintain audit readiness and process integrity for all import and export activities, participating in logistics audits as necessary.
  • Coordinate with courier and depot vendors on all service aspects, including temperature-controlled shipping materials, data loggers, and emergency deliveries.
  • Manage transportation capacity and implement distribution strategies upon arrival of shipments in the U.S.
  • Work cross-functionally with the global logistics manager to determine optimal transportation methods.
  • Ensure freight movement is conducted in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Coordinate with 3PL for all inbound shipments and direct customer deliveries, providing necessary documentation and aligning departmental activities.
  • Review and verify all shipping documentation for accuracy.
  • Prepare and present weekly reports to senior management.
  • Create export and import documentation for the movement of controlled substances and finished products.
  • Provide timely updates on domestic shipment statuses.
  • Collaborate with finance, freight forwarders, and 3PLs to ensure accurate shipment releases and deliveries.
  • Work with carriers to schedule shipments, monitor shipment progress, and provide proof of delivery.
  • Participate in evaluations and reviews of freight forwarders.
  • Support daily logistics operations.
  • Conduct monthly shipping data analysis and report findings to management.
  • Perform trend analysis, identify necessary corrective actions, and drive implementation.
  • Lead order creation for logistics partners and manage received logistics invoices to ensure strong partnerships and effective financial processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Languages: Proficiency in English; Spanish is advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in logistics management.
  • Preferred: Experience in pharmaceuticals or life sciences.
  • Skills: Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, inventory systems, ERP systems (SAP), and basic math. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret various instructions.
