Customer Implementation Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Project Manager to join our team at Maersk. As a key member of our implementation team, you will be responsible for leading complex logistics projects from start to finish, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management
    • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, IT, and finance, to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Provide regular project updates and status reports to stakeholders, including project milestones, risks, and issues.
    • Manage project risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
    • Ensure project deliverables meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including regional and global clients.
    • Lead client onboarding processes, ensuring smooth transition and successful implementation.
    • Manage client expectations and scope, ensuring solution delivery meets customer needs.
    • Provide regular client updates and progress reports, addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Operational Engagement
    • Collaborate with operations teams to develop and implement operational solutions, ensuring seamless integration with logistics operations.
    • Develop and implement process flows, SOPs, and IOPs to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Ensure IT and EDI integration, client and vendor training, and KPI reporting and performance management routines.
    • Ensure initial SOP/IOP compliance across all origin and destination offices.
  • Commercial Engagement
    • Contribute to securing new business wins by engaging in sales processes and presenting implementation methodologies.
  • Implementation Community
    • Capture and share learnings and best practices across the implementation community.
    • Assist in creating, reviewing, and improving implementation methodologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in logistics, including international supply chain management and forwarding services.
  • Proven experience in project management on implementations.
  • PMP, ACP-PMI certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management tools, including MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good IT and EDI understanding and capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and customer service skills.
  • Ambitious and result-oriented self-starter with initiative and strong drive.
