Position Overview

By Light Professional IT Services is a premier provider of advanced Information Technology (IT) solutions and communication support to various governmental entities. We are seeking qualified individuals to deliver support to the U.S. Army Installation and Management Command (IMCOM) with a focus on Information Technology (IT) Risk Management Framework (RMF) services. This role encompasses IT engineering functions that are essential to the Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) initiatives, aimed at enhancing the well-being of Soldiers and their Families across numerous installations and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and assist in the creation of essential documentation, including System Security Plans, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with technical managers, system owners, and program managers to identify and select appropriate security controls for their systems.
  • Utilize performance management strategies to enhance accountability for RMF, aligning with the cybersecurity needs of our clients.
  • Analyze trends, anticipate requirements, and assist in achieving assessment and authorization objectives.
  • Facilitate system authorizations through the RMF process, adhering to established federal standards and guidelines.
  • Interpret security policies and implementation directives, translating them into actionable cybersecurity engineering solutions.
  • Provide expert technical engineering services related to the client's IT infrastructure.
  • Act as a project manager or offer specialized consultation on complex initiatives, including cloud computing and migration projects.
  • Deliver high-level technical expertise in support of cybersecurity and RMF compliance.
  • Implement and uphold security doctrines, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Evaluate network/system performance data and generate reports for relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute proactively to internal project teams, ensuring effective utilization of IT solutions and processes.
  • Work alongside technical managers and program managers to identify mitigation strategies and develop actionable plans.
  • Perform additional cybersecurity tasks as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Senior Level: A Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Intermediate Level: A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; alternatively, an Associate degree with four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Certification: IAT Level III Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is required at the start of the contract.
  • Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity policies, directives, and regulatory frameworks.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of RMF experience in a complex network and systems environment.
  • Familiarity with various technologies, including:
    • Event logging and analysis for defensive cyber operations.
    • Cloud computing environments and service providers.
    • Cyber forensic analytics capabilities.
    • DoD Public Key Infrastructure.
    • Hardware devices including servers and personal computers.
    • Cloud technologies such as enterprise cloud computing instances.
  • In-depth understanding of the RMF process and the Federal Information Systems Modernization Act (FISMA).
  • Experience with RMF workflow tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with senior military officials and various stakeholders.
Security Clearance Requirements
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.
