Overview

The Security and Safety Specialist is responsible for overseeing and monitoring designated areas to ensure a secure environment for both guests and staff while minimizing risks of loss or damage.

This role involves taking proactive measures to prevent any threats to individuals or property within the facilities. The Specialist is expected to deliver outstanding service to all guests, both internal and external, consistently.

S/he will embody the Pyramid Global Hospitality culture and promote the organization as a premier destination and employer of choice.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain comprehensive awareness of scheduled events, hotel occupancy, available services, operational hours, facility layout, emergency protocols, and departmental conduct standards.

- Review departmental logs and stay informed about relevant information for the current shift. Communicate effectively with the previous shift to ensure continuity of operations.

- Provide safe escorts for employees in line with departmental guidelines.

- Ensure that access to secured areas after hours is authorized, monitored, and documented according to hotel policies.

- Manage deliveries received outside of business hours following established procedures.

- Collaborate with external agencies as necessary while adhering to hotel regulations.

- Coordinate responses to emergency situations as outlined in the departmental manual.

- Monitor surveillance systems as assigned and investigate alarm activations in accordance with procedures.

- Conduct regular patrols of the property using designated equipment, documenting all actions in compliance with departmental standards.

- Address safety hazards promptly and ensure guest room security; assist guests with access in accordance with hotel protocols.

- Challenge any suspicious individuals on the property in line with departmental procedures.

- Carry out investigations into theft, lost items, noise disturbances, and other guest-related complaints, completing detailed reports as required.

- Respond swiftly to incidents involving guests or employees, providing first aid or CPR as necessary, and communicating relevant information to emergency medical personnel.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Previous experience in a hospitality environment is preferred.

- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is essential.

- Must be available to work during evening hours, including weekends, with a flexible schedule.
