Position Overview

Role: Director of Institutional Giving

Reports to: Vice President of Development

Compensation: $115,000 - $127,000

Location: This position requires presence in the tri-state area.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid model with three days in the office and two days remote.

About Us: DoSomething is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young individuals to enact social change. Over the past thirty years, we have mobilized youth to contribute significantly to various causes, including advocacy for social justice and community support initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Generation & Strategy (60%): Develop and implement institutional funding strategies aligned with organizational goals. Oversee proposal development and manage relationships with institutional funders.
  • Team Leadership (20%): Lead a small team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance while ensuring effective systems are in place for donor engagement.
  • Business Development (20%): Engage in thought leadership activities, including attending industry events and producing content that showcases our mission and impact.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in institutional fundraising with a proven track record of securing substantial funding.
  • At least 3 years of management experience, demonstrating inclusive leadership practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
  • Proficient in project management and data-driven decision-making.
