Position Summary

The Greenmarket Staffing and Administrative Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing staffing operations within the Greenmarket program. Reporting directly to the Director of Food Access & Agriculture, this full-time position is responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of field personnel, as well as managing administrative functions and budget oversight for the department. The manager collaborates closely with the FAA leadership team to ensure accurate financial administration and effective management of the departmental budget.

Key Responsibilities

Staffing Management

  • Oversee staffing logistics for Greenmarket locations, including training, scheduling, and overall staffing strategy.
  • Act as the primary contact for supervisory and field staff, addressing inquiries and providing necessary support.
  • Coordinate with the Human Resources Department to facilitate communication between field staff and HR.
  • Supervise the Greenmarket Hiring and Staffing Assistant, ensuring effective workflow and professional development.

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Manage the complete recruitment and onboarding process for Greenmarket field staff.
  • Lead the interview process, including scheduling and communication with candidates and supervisory staff.
  • Coordinate onboarding efforts with HR, IT, and supervisory staff to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.

Financial Management

  • Assist in the planning and oversight of the departmental budget.
  • Facilitate regular budget meetings with relevant stakeholders to review financial performance.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely invoicing and payments.
  • Collaborate with the Greenmarket Operations Manager to develop and monitor the staffing budget.

Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience in staffing management, operations, or human resources, preferably in a public-facing environment.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory role with a focus on people-centered leadership.
  • Strong financial management skills with experience in budget oversight.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse populations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace, with advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring in-office attendance on specific days while allowing for remote work flexibility. A commitment to a socially just food system is essential.
