Job Summary:

HC&N Healthcare Solutions is seeking a skilled Staffing Coordinator to join their team. As a key member of the nursing department, this role will be responsible for coordinating staffing schedules, tracking attendance, and ensuring compliance with attendance policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Management: Create and post schedules for the nursing department, track changes, and approve trades to ensure efficient staffing.
  • Attendance Tracking: Maintain accurate records of call-outs, late arrivals, and early departures, and coordinate with HR to administer attendance policies promptly and fairly.
  • PPD Monitoring: Regularly monitor daily PPD to ensure optimal staffing levels.
  • Overtime Management: Monitor and minimize staff overtime to optimize resource allocation.
  • Agency Staffing: Contact and schedule agency staff as needed to cover open shifts.
  • Reporting: Provide accurate reports to the DON on staffing, vacancies, and agency use.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of PTO and change requests.
  • Payroll and HR Support: Provide support with payroll and minor HR functions.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Must have experience as a Staffing Coordinator in long-term care.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in computer software and systems.
  • Long-term Care Experience: Experience in long-term care with scheduling, HR, and payroll.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation: Up to $65,000 per year.
